Former Surgeon General Joycelyn Elders, MD, is teaming up with the Program in Human Sexuality at the University of Minnesota Medical School to advance comprehensive science-based sexual health education. The Joycelyn Elders Chair in Sexual Health Education will advance the design, evaluation, and dissemination of essential sexual health curriculum for all individuals as well as training for allied health care providers, and education professionals. This endowment will support a faculty member at the University of Minnesota’s Program in Human Sexuality to lead the charge in sexual health education. Your donation can still have an impact. In June 2011 we reached our donation pledge goal of $2,000,000, thanks to 280 donors from 9 countries. However, we cannot hire for the Elders Chair position until we have received $2,000,000 (projected 2016).
